CapExplorer Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-01 · Effective October 1, 2026
This policy explains how Lokesh Gangaramaney ("we", "us"), the individual developer of the app, handles information in the CapExplorer app ("the app").
The short version
CapExplorer does not collect any personal data. It has:
- no accounts and no sign-in
- no analytics
- no advertising
- no tracking
It makes no network requests of its own. Everything it shows, including the 3D models and the figures, is built into the app, and it works offline.
Information we collect
None. We don't collect, store, sell, share or receive any personal information through the app. That includes your name, email, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or usage activity.
Information kept on your device
The app may save a few preferences on your device, such as whether you've already seen the opening animation. These stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are deleted when you delete the app.
Camera, microphone and location
The app doesn't use or request access to your camera, microphone, location, photos or contacts.
Links to other websites
The app lists the public sources behind its figures. If you tap a source or a company link, it opens in your web browser, and you leave the app. Those websites are run by others, and their own privacy policies apply. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.
Apple
You download the app through Apple's App Store, and Apple's privacy policy covers that. If you choose, in your device settings, to share analytics or crash reports with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying diagnostic information about app crashes. We use it only to fix problems. We cannot identify you from it.
Children
The app isn't directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we collect no personal data, we hold nothing about you to access, correct, delete or move.
Some laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, give you rights over your personal information. You can still contact us with any privacy question or request.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever begins to collect information, we will update this policy before it does so. The new version and date will appear in the app.
